We at Real Art are a collective of people trying to make the best inclusive all ages music space to serve Tacoma as we possibly can. We believe that music should be accessible to everyone and anyone, and people shouldn’t be limited to what music they can see because of their age or any other factor. We abide by DIY values, and our staff is compiled of volunteers who are members of the community we are trying to serve. We strive to have an all-inclusive space, where individuals can come to enjoy themselves without fear of being excluded for their nationality, race, gender, or sexual orientation.

By being run by volunteers, we are able to keep our door prices low and able to provide sliding scale entry so that way anyone who wants to attend a show will not be turned away for lack of funds. We are also providing training of real life skills for our volunteers who want to learn more about the music industry and how it works. Our volunteers learn the ins and outs of how to run vital functions of the venue such as running our front door and concessions area, as well as how to effectively manage and book shows. No one is turned away from volunteering, and each volunteer can dedicate as little or as much time to the venue as they would like.

Real Art Tacoma is a 501-c3 non-profit organization
